meet laura

As a full time, typical mid-30 year old, I balance life with the best of them.  A wife, mom, and office manager by day,  a professional photographer by night, I consider myself the ultimate Girl Boss.  The foodie in me loves my position as the executive assistant for some of my favorite restaurants in Charleston, SC.  On Sundays, you will most likely find me capturing a sunrise session followed by attending my home church, New Covenant Mt. Pleasant. 
Of course, brunch is always involved. 

 
Gillen Photography is based in one of the most beautiful cities in the southeast. Originally, a Georgian who transplanted to these Charleston beaches, I quickly succumbed to my creative nature that began as a youngster. Although my creativity never really diminished, my skills are ever evolving. Knowledge is a magnificent gift, and I strive to learn and grow everyday. 
I am so glad you are here! Also, I'm overflowing with gratitude to share all of my knowledge, my experiences, favorite locations, and lastly my passion with you. Looking forward to getting to know you and finding out how I can make all your photography dreams come true.
